Cancellation & Refunds

Last updated · June 20, 2026 WAYQ Technologies Private Limited

This policy explains how to cancel a metro ticket booked through WeeBee Tickets, when cancellation charges may apply, and how refunds reach you.

On this page

    1. Overview

WeeBee Tickets lets you cancel an eligible metro ticket from within the app. Because tickets are issued and fulfilled by the transit operator over the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), the refund amount and any cancellation charges are determined by the operator (for example, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited for Namma Metro). WeeBee always shows you the exact refund and charges before you confirm a cancellation.

    2. How to Cancel

Cancellation is a simple two-step confirmation so you always know the outcome before it is final:

    • Step 1 — Request: open the ticket under My Tickets and tap "Cancel ticket". We request a cancellation quote from the operator and display the refund amount and any cancellation charges.
    • Step 2 — Confirm: review the refund preview and tap "Confirm cancellation". The ticket is then cancelled and the refund is initiated.

If you do not confirm, the ticket remains active and no cancellation is made.

    3. Refund Amount & Cancellation Charges

The refund you receive may be less than the amount paid if the operator applies a cancellation charge. These charges, and any time-based eligibility, are set by the transit operator under its own fare and cancellation rules and surfaced to you live at the time of cancellation.

You will always see the final refund amount and cancellation charges before confirming. WeeBee does not add any separate cancellation fee of its own.

    4. How & When You Receive Your Refund

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method you used at checkout, through our payment partner Razorpay. Once a cancellation is confirmed, the refund is typically credited within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer's processing time.

If you have not received an expected refund after 7 business days, contact us at support@weebee.in with your booking reference and we will follow up.

    5. Tickets That Cannot Be Cancelled

A ticket cannot be cancelled once it has been:

    • Claimed — the QR code has been generated/scanned for entry
    • Used or completed — the journey associated with the ticket is finished
    • Already cancelled

Eligibility otherwise follows the operator's cancellation rules.

    6. Round-Trip & Multi-Leg Bookings

For bookings with separate onward and return legs, you can cancel an individual leg without affecting the other. Each leg's refund is calculated by the operator according to its rules.

    7. Failed or Duplicate Payments

If your payment is debited but a ticket is not issued (for example, due to a network error), the charge is automatically reversed by Razorpay, usually within 5–7 business days. You are never charged for a ticket that was not successfully created. If you believe you were charged without receiving a ticket, contact support@weebee.in.

    8. How to Reach Us
